Meet the Newest Member of the Sports360AZ Team

Hey, everyone! I’m Claudia Faust, the newest addition to the Sports360AZ team.

Here’s a bit about me – I spent the last year working as a sports anchor and reporter in “Friday Night Lights” country. The thing is, Texas is just one of a handful of places I’ve called home in my 26 years of life.

I bounced around the east coast for 23 years before moving out to Arizona to get my Master’s Degree in Sports Journalism at ASU. Before going to ASU, I was a Florida Atlantic University Owl. While I was at college at FAU, I fell in love with covering sports and storytelling.

My team fandoms are very complicated because my favorite teams are spread across the country. I’m a die-hard Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. I lived in Cleveland for 10 years and went to a handful of NFL and MLB games, however, I never saw the Browns win in-person. The 2020 Browns were the best part of 2020 for me.

I lived in Washington D.C. for a few years where I became a Washington Capitals and D.C. United fan. While I was at Cronkite I also interned for the Arizona Diamondbacks, so they’ve become a favorite for me too. Truth is, I don’t really have an NBA team and the Suns are looking like a great choice for a favorite right now.

When I’m not covering or watching a sporting event you can find me on a difficult hiking trail with my pup, traveling with my soon-to-be hubby, or on a quest to find the spiciest foods in Arizona.

I am overjoyed to be back in the Valley of the Sun and to have the opportunity to share Arizona sports stories once again!
