Local Drivers and Teams Return Home for USAC Western World Championship

The USAC National Sprint Car Series closes out the 2021 season at Arizona Speedway’s Western World Championship in San Tan Valley. A slew of Arizona talent has traveled the national circuit in its 54-event season. One driver has traveled across the country from the state of Arizona, multi-time Arizona sprint car champion, Charles Davis Jr.

Even with his local popularity, the Buckeye driver expanded his fan club after a victory with the USAC/CRA series, and a podium with the National Sprint Cars. Davis’ postrace interviews have delighted the fanbase watching the races online. Davis and his team are all about having fun and traveling the country when possible to race with the best in the world. Davis finished fifth in the first race of the Western World Championship at Arizona Speedway.

Three Arizona-owned teams have traveled the circuit full-time in 2021, including Reinbold-Underwood Motorsports, Michael Motorsports, and Team Arizona Racing. All three teams sit in the top seven in the points championship and have all visited victory lane this season for 11 combined wins.

Anaheim, CA’s, Jake Swanson, is piloting the Team Arizona Racing No. 34AZ, and picked up his first career National Series win at his home track of Perris Auto Speedway on Nov. 4. Devon Henry caught up with Davis and Swanson ahead of the Western World Championship.
