Lake Havasu’s Julien Beaumer Riding Towards Supercross Dream

It’s been a whirlwind 12 months for Lake Havasu City native, Julien Beaumer, who went from chasing a dream to living in one.

Beaumer is just 17 years old and in his rookie season of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in the 250 class, riding for powerhouse team, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. The Arizona native was simply trying to prove himself among the names of the up-and-comers in Supercross when he entered the Supercross Futures category and ended up winning at his home-state race in Glendale last April for a small KTM team.

Since that victory, Beaumer’s life has been flipped upside down when he was signed to a professional contract a few months later and made his pro Motocross debut. Now, he battles for the 250 West Region Championship under the bright lights of Supercross, with all eyes set on claiming the top spot on the podium and winning his first professional Supercross race.

Beaumer finished 7th in Round 5 of the 250 West season this past weekend in Glendale and currently sits 8th in the points standings. The Supercross West class now begins an extended break as the East class races alongside the premier 450 class for the coming weeks. Beaumer returns to the track in the 250 class March 23 in Seattle.
