Johnny Manziel was one of the most electrifying college football players in the history of the sport. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner put Texas A&M on the map as the Aggies moved to the SEC with his big throws and making defenders miss in bunches during his elusive runs.
In “Untold: Johnny Football,” directors Chapman and Maclain Way revisit Manziel trying to avoid pressure from opposing defenses on the field while living life under a microscope off the field.
Manziel sat down with Sports360AZ to talk about former Aggie offensive coordinator and Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s role in his success, the blessing and curse of the “Johnny Football” nickname and his mental health journey.
“Untold: Johnny Football” debuts on Netflix on August 8.
