Deer Valley offensive lineman Joey Ramos is one of the top class of 2018 recruits in the state.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound lineman led one of the strongest offensive lines in the state, pairing with fellow seniors Xavier Robinson-Delgado and Brandon McCrea.
On Tuesday, he committed to Iowa State.
The Cyclones beat out Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Oregon and UCLA in Ramos’ final six teams.

Joey Ramos Evaluation
Sports360AZ recruiting expert Jason Jewell had this evaluation for Ramos:
“Ramos is one of the nastiest players I have seen in reent yeras. He is always looking to finish a block. He plays with outstanding technique and has the ability to play multiple spots along the offensive line.”
Ramos will sign during the early period starting Wednesday.
It was a good day for Iowa State, who also earned a commitment from class of 2019 Perry wide receiver D’Shayne James.
