ESPN’s Jay Bilas took time to chat with national media about the 2025 NBA Draft and its prospects, including Arizona forward Carter Bryant.

The 19-year-old stands at 6-foot-8 with a nearly 7-foot wingspan coming off a solid freshman year playing for Tommy Lloyd at UA.

Bilas expects Bryant to be a lottery pick and continued about his NBA career potential:

“I like Carter Bryant a lot…You’re gonna hear his name called pretty early in this draft…He did really, really well at the combine with his vertical leap..the sprint, and his standing vertical was actually really good…He’s what people would say is a prototypical 3 and D guy…When he’s got time in a catch and shoot situation, he makes them at a good percentage. He wasn’t a high volume scorer last year at Arizona, that wasn’t his role, but really good defender that can guard multiple positions. He can get steals, deflections, he can block shots…When he had an open shot, he hit those shots at right around 38%…his long term potential is really good and all the measurables that people like to talk about…Players that fit the mold he fits have done very well in the league.”

Bilas mentioned he’s heard from fellow experts that a handful of trades can be expected in this draft, adding to the offseason drama.

This year’s NBA Draft will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at 5 PM.
