Player of the Week

For the second week in a row, Marcos QB Josh Eckley wins the award. He threw for 359 yards and 6 TDs while also rushing for 158 yards and 2 more TDs.

QBs

* Paradise Valley’s Daniel Bridge-Todd threw for 306 yards and 2 TDs in a win over Mingus.

* Desert Edge’s Anthony Hernandez 477 yards and 6 TDs.

* Mountain Pointe’s Antonio Hinojosa made the most of his 4 passes as 3 went for TDs against Maryvale.

* Russell Corriveau from Poston Butte threw for 323 yards and 2 TDs with 1 additional on the ground.

* Davon Norris from Cactus Shadows threw 3 TDs in a win over Apollo.

* Basha’s Zach Werlinger threw 4 TDs.

* Junior Sean Paul Brophy from Chaparral threw 259 yards and 3 TDs in a win over Mountain Ridge.

* Buckeye’s Art Bojorquez threw for 235 yards and 4 TDs in a win over South Mountain, 2 TDs went to Quinten Hunt.

* Salpointe’s Andy Cota accounted for 5 TDs in a win over Sunnyside.

* Desert Mountain’s Kyle Allen went 20 of 24 for 356 yards and 5 TDs. WR Mark Andrews had 200 yards and 3 TDs.

Emanuel Gant had 350 yards and 5 TDs against McClintock.

* Sophomore Tyler Bloom from Higley had 409 yards and 5 passing TDs against Phoenix Christian, he also had 1 rushing TD.

Luke Rubenzer went 13 of 15 for 303 yards and 5 TDs against Bradshaw Mountain. WR J.T. Nettleton had 142 yards and 2 TDs.

* In a crazy game against Marcos, Buena’s Rafael Adames had 336 yards and 6 TDs, 4 TDs went to Bert Sims.

* Arizona Lutheran’s Cameron Hagg threw for 397 yards and 7 TDs.

* Chandler QB Bryce Perkins totaled 380 yards and 2 TDs in a loss on a national stage in CA.

RBs

* Brandon Hatfield from Poston Butte totaled 287 yards and 4 scores in a win over Marana.

* Taren Morrison from Desert Ridge averaged nearly 20 yards per carry and scored twice against O’Connor.

* Marcos’ Justin Lagunas had 2 rushing and 1 receiving TD.

* Phoenix Christian’s Scottie Jordan went off, he rushed for 445 yards and 3 TDs in a loss to Higley.

* Weston Barlow from Queen Creek rushed for 231 yards and 4 scores in a win over Show Low.

* Chris Salsberry rushed for 22 yards and 1 TD against Cactus.

* Joseph Scott from Kingman had 161 yards and 2 TDs against Goldwater. He also had 1 receiving TD.

Receivers

Jordan Brown from Paradise Valley did a little bit of everything, he caught 6 passes for 85 yards and 1 TD, had 2 INT on defense and blocked a PAT.

Elijah Marks had 9 catches, 200 yards and 2 TDs.

* Turman Tucker from Skyline and 8 catches, 170 yards and 3 TDs in a win over Corona.

* Clark Brown from Mountain View had 7 catches, 217 yards and 3 TDs against Highland.

* Arizona commit Cameron Denson had 9 catches, 156 yards and 3 TDs against Sunnyside.

* Marcos sophomore N’Keal Harry had a breaking out party, he had 198 yards and 2 TDs against Buena.

* TE Nick Colson from Higley had 149 yards and 3 TDs against Phoenix Christian.

* Junior Christian Kirk from Saguaro had a rushing TD, a receiving TD and returned a kick for a TD.

* ALA duo of Brady Cook and Gabe Galvan had 7 TDs. Cook had 8 catches for 183 yards and 5 TD while Galvan had 9 for 174 and 2 TDs.

Defense/Special Teams/Return

* Desert Edge’s Ismael Murphy-Richardson had 2 scoop and score touchdowns.

* Liberty corner Kory Wilson had a 100 yard FR TD, an INT and an 80 yard receiving score against Norte Dame Prep.
