Horizon class of 2023 tight end Matthew Klopfenstein in one of many elite players at the position in the state of Arizona over the upcoming classes.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound playmaker caught 17 passes in five games for 174 yards.
He’s shown potential for many years now and is just scratching the surface. I was at a summer workout for Huskies a few years ago. At the time, Klopfenstein had just been enrolled to the school after wrapping up middle school and hadn’t suited up for a game. Despite being the youngest player on the field, then-head coach Ty Wisdom pointed him out.
“You see that kid in the yellow?” Wisdom asked. “That’s Klopfenstein. He’s going to be a stud.”
He’s been exactly that and will now to be looking to have a huge role in Andy Litten’s offense this year.
On the recruiting front, Klopfenstein has been offered by Arizona, Iowa State and Michigan State.
He breaks down those offers and how he hopes to improve on the Recruiting Roundup.
