Former Pittsburgh Steeler great and Super Bowl Champion Hines Ward carries experience and an impressive resumé with him as he is taking over as ASU wide receiver coach.
He also carries an ace card with him, the best card in the deck. He leads by following the A.C.E. acronym, standing for attitude, communication and effort.
It’s a mindset he used as a player that led him from an athlete with the Georgia Bulldogs to one of the most decorated wide receivers in the NFL, revered for his hard play, clutch catches and punishing blocks.
The new wide receivers coach jumped in as spring ball heats up. He doesn’t know the plays. He probably doesn’t know many of his players’ names yet, but he’s jumping in with both feet into this new role.
He’s looking to get his receivers conference recognition and to play like he did over his 14-year NFL career.
