Three Dots-Hazen Talks with Greinke, #1 QB Prospect Coach Quits…

Arizona Sports News online

fullsizerenderI am not in the camp that the Diamondbacks should part with Zack Greinke after just one season. While it’s true that moving Greinke could bring back a hefty haul for new GM Mike Hazen, Top of the rotation pitchers don’t grow on trees (unless they are made of money). I asked Hazen earlier today at the GM meetings at the Montolecita Resort in Scottsdale if he’d spoken with the ace of his pitching staff and he enthusiastically shared details of their discussion, a short time later he was asked about the possibility of moving Greinke this offseason and Hazen shot it down…

Before speaking with Hazen, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred addressed some questions on the future collective bargaining agreement(expiring on  December 1st) and he also addressed pace of play questions. I don’t know about you, but the pace of play in the postseason was just fine. Grumpy broadcasters or writers on deadline simply can’t change the game to fit their own needs. I am not saying that every broadcaster or writer is upset with length or flow of games, but when I hear someone sound like they are inconvenienced with how fast or slow the game is going, perhaps that announcer or writer needs to look in the mirror and move on. The game isn’t about them…

If you’re not aware, the states #1 ranked quarterback and Arizona State recruit Ryan Kelley was the schools  quarterback. Basha went 3-8 this season. Steve Campbell at Williams Field would be my first phone cal for any open postionl. The former Arizona State quarterback is a terrific head coach…

Good for Earl Watson going with Marquese Chriss in the starting lineup. However, I am one that cares who finishes a game rather than who starts…
