The arena was packed and the party was rocking long before midnight for Grand Canyon’s annual Midnight Madness to kick off basketball season.
The Hunger Games theme was well-executed and from the cheerleaders, to the dance team, band, and DJ – it was a special college atmosphere that makes anyone long removed from those four years reminisce on great times.
Each student-athlete from both rosters was introduced to Lopes Nation.
Both head coaches in Men’s Basketball’s Bryce Drew and Women’s Basketball’s Winston Gandy took their turns giving inspiring speeches before the pirotecnics returned to illuminating the hardwood.
