The GCU women’s basketball team returns to Las Vegas for the WAC tournament, hopeful for a NCAA tournament bid. Last year, the Lopes made it to the conference title game, a win away from an automatic qualify bid.
This year, the Lopes come in as the No. 3 seed and with 10 new players added this offseason.
Head coach Molly Miller’s teams have always been based on defense, and the Lopes have taken that to heart this year. They are currently ranked 4th in the nation in steals per game with 12.9 per game.
