GCU holds off CBU, claims nation’s best record at 24-2

As the Lopes have shown time & time again throughout this season – they allow opponents to hang around in the first half before putting their collective feet down in the second.

It was a bit of a different story against this gritty Lancers team.

Without the WAC’s leading scorer in Dominique Daniels Jr, who suffered a season-ending leg injury, CBU gave GCU all it could handle.

Head Coach Bryce Drew & his guys survived to earn their seventh straight win, 79-76.

The victory also gives GCU the best record in the country at 24-2.

They couldn’t have gotten it done without Tyon Grant-Foster’s 19 points & Gabe McGlothan’s double-double of 15 points & 11 rebounds.

Next up is Tarleton State on February 22 as the Lopes look to go 15-1 in WAC play.
