While Bobby Hurley has been working to revamp the Sun Devil men’s hoops roster through the transfer portal, he also went and add the top uncommitted player in the 2024 class in Jayden Quaintance.
The five-star center out of Raleigh, North Carolina had been committed to Kentucky and John Calipari. When Calipari left for Arkansas, Quaintance opened up his recruitment.

The 6-foot-9, 230 pound center reportedly visited Louisville and planned to visit Memphis.
He holds offers from the likes of Kansas, Baylor, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Oregon and NC State.
The center is still 16 years old and ranked No. 8 in the class of 2024 according to 247Sports. He will be the highest-rated commitment in Sun Devil basketball history.
He reclassified from the class of 2025 to 2024 last last year and is not eligible to be a one-and-done prospect because he will not be 18 at the time of next year’s NBA Draft.
Quaintance is a part of a class that is now ranked No. 14 in the country, joining Amier Ali, Sammie Yeanay, Bo Aldridge and Jaden Smith.
