Fabiano’s Fantasy Focus: Week Ten, Vol. I – Russ and Rodgers Return

Every week during the NFL season, Sports Illustrated Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

In our most recent conversation with Michael (Nov. 9), we went over two quarterbacks returning from absences and how managers should approach their respective situations, as well as a couple of waiver-wire skill players who could add value to your team. Here is what the Hall-of-Famer had to say:

Aaron Rodgers And Russell Wilson Are Both Potentially Returning This Week. How Should Managers Handle Their Situations?

“Russell is back, play him. The matchup is not great against Green Bay, but he’s Russell Wilson. A lot of folks are going to be happy to have him back. With Rodgers, if he’s playing, start him. Seattle’s defense has not been terrible against quarterbacks this year, but the big games that they’ve given up to quarterbacks have all been on the road and this game is at Lambeau Field. We won’t know until Saturday if he’ll play, but Rodgers is going to be in most lineups.”

DeSean Jackson Is Now A Las Vegas Raider. Do You See Him Producing With His New Team?

“I don’t know that he has a ton of fantasy value. Maybe add him off the wire because he’s going to replace Henry Ruggs III in terms of the role, but I think the Raiders are going to lean on Hunter Renfrow, they’re going to lean on Darren Waller. Jackson can still be effective, but at this point in his career, I don’t know if he’s going to be putting up big numbers on a week-to-week basis.”

As They Have Been All Year, Running Backs Are At A Premium On Waivers. Should Managers Look At Devonta Freeman This Week?

“Yep, as long as Latavius Murray is out. That is a Thursday night game they play against the Dolphins, so you’re going to have to make a decision on Freeman and whether or not you play him. It’s a short week so maybe Murray doesn’t play again, maybe the Ravens rest him for another week.
