Every week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (October 21st) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

What are you hearing on Desean Jackson and Golden Tate? I thought Jackson would be back by now but he isn’t. This is just a player who is week-to-week so he’s a stash for me. Golden Tate had the best stat line at wide receiver against the Patriots this season and the Giants are without Sterling Shepard. And if you look ahead to the Week 8 schedule you’ll see a matchup for the Giants and I believe it’s in Detroit. What we like to call that in Fantasy is a revenge game! Golden has emerged as a WR3 who will be playing old team next week.”

Do you have any clarity on what going on with the Chiefs’ running backs? “The backfield situation has been a nightmare to try to predict. I can tell you that right now because one week it’s Damien Williams and then the last couple weeks it’s been LeSean McCoy but none of them are doing anything. You would think they would lean on the run a little bit more because of Mahomes [being out] but we don’t know who’s going to get the football so it’s been a bit of a guessing game in Kansas City and that’s unfortunate because  coming up is a Green Bay team that hasn’t been great against the run this season.”

Melvin Gordon on the goal line. Your thoughts? “The positives are that he’s getting opportunities with the football. They’re trying to get him the football. The bad news is that he’s not doing much. This offense was running far better without him. He’s really hurt his value and the Chargers were a better offensive team without him. They were. Keenan Allen was putting up great numbers, Austin Ekeler, too. They’re playing the Bears this week and they’ve gotten crushed by running backs in their last two games. Ekeler is still the better of those two backs. Hopefully Gordon will turn things around, he is getting opportunities, he’s still knocking the rust off but it hasn’t been good so far.”

Are we going to see more “smokescreens” on weekly injury reports after what we saw with David Johnson last week? “Teams have to honestly give the injury report and honestly give an update on a player’s status and if I remember correctly David had been limited in participation and practice last week and no one really saw this coming. It has happened in the past. I remember of players being active and barely getting any touches or none at all. Willis McGahee was one with the Baltimore Ravens several years ago. Everyone was expecting him to have a big game and he didn’t even play.”
