Every week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (October 3rd) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

Who are your biggest busts a quarter of the way through the season? “There have been a bunch like Isaiah Crowell. He was one of my top three running back breakouts. I had Kareem Hunt, Leonard Fournette and Crowell. Crowell has done next to nothing. Amari Cooper has been a big disappointment. After a big Week 1, this guy is dropping passes left and right. Has done nothing over the past few weeks and up to this last week, Cam Newton has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments, as well.”

Did you expect Matt Ryan to struggle this badly coming off a big 2016? “Huge bust this season but I can’t say I’m surprised because he was one of my biggest bust candidates coming into the season. The magical season. You have to be aware of that sort of thing.”

Would you trade Melvin Gordon for Michael Thomas? “I like the move. It’s a fair trade. It really depends on what I have at running back and what I need at wide receiver. But it’s clearly a fair trade.”

Is there any reason to trust Jeremy Maclin in Baltimore? “He can give you a good stat line from time-to-time but right now that Ravens’ offense is bad. I mean really bad. Joe Flacco can’t get things going. The running back situation is a mess. It’s a committee. Last week Mike Wallace had a good game. He had disappeared for the first three or four weeks. That offense is really a good one to get rid of players from. Let’s put it that way.”

What are your thoughts on Andre Ellington out here in Arizona? “Ellington is a guy, if you’re in a PPR league, all of a sudden this guy is standing out because he’s seeing opportunities in the passing game. The Cardinals can’t replace David Johnson. They can’t. But clearly Bruce Arians is trying to replace the pass-catching part of what they lost from David Johnson with Ellington, who everyone there in Arizona knows, had converted to wide receiver and then back to running back. He can catch the ball.”
