Every week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (September 13th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

What were your overall takeaways from Week 1? “Number one, don’t overreact to anything that happens in Week 1 because things can change quickly. I definitely don’t like what I saw from the Rams’ offense on Monday night and how it effected Todd Gurley. But I definitely love Gurley. I’m not jumping off that bandwagon it’s way too soon. Same with a guy like Brandon Marshall. Odell Beckham, Jr. only had seven fantasy points against the Cowboys.”

Anything else pop up on your radar from last weekend? “The Browns defense is terrible if Carson Wentz can come out and do what they do against them is a prime candidate for the match-ups every single week. Oh by the way, Joe Flacco and the Ravens are playing the Browns this coming week. You also learned that Jeremy Langford looks like the featured back in Chicago and it’s always a good thing to have a featured back in an era where featured backs are going the way of the dodo bird so that is a positive from a fantasy perspective.”

Have to play one this week in my PPR league: T.Y. Hilton or Donte Moncrief? “This is an interesting week. Keep in mind Denver has a really, really good pass defense but Kelvin Benjamin had a pretty solid stat line on Thursday night. I’d go Hilton but they’re not great plays based on the level of the opponent so don’t expect T.Y. to put up Top 10 numbers because the matchup dictates that this is going to be a tough game for Indianapolis’ pass-catchers.”

How does Jameis Winston match up against the Cardinals in Week 2? “Last week I had Jameis as my sleeper and he even exceeded my expectations with four touchdowns but I don’t know if I’d play him this week. Arizona’s defense, I know they lost, but overall pretty good. Jimmy Garoppolo did not have a huge fantasy game. When you look at the Arizona Cardinals they’ve allowed one or fewer touchdown passes in five of their last six home games so the match up on paper is clearly not favorable for Jameis.”

Is Tyrod Taylor worth keeping? “Yes. Again, it’s just one game. It was an ugly game in a match up that looks favorable on paper but this is not the time to bail on somebody. Now, with that being said, with Matthew Stafford available on the waiver wire and you need to drop Tyrod to pick him up you do it.”
