Fabiano’s Fantasy Focus: Week 13, Vol. II – Last Minute Lineup Changes

Every week during the NFL season, Sports Illustrated Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

In our most recent conversation with Michael (Nov. 30), we discussed what adjustments managers may need to make heading into this week’s games, and how to best approach those situations. Here is what the Hall-of-Famer had to say:

The Seahawks Had Another Terrible Offensive Performance Against Washington On Monday Night. Is It Time To Give Up On Seattle Skill Players?

“Yes. I don’t know what’s going on in Seattle, but Russell Wilson has not been good since he came back. He wasn’t awful from a fantasy perspective on Monday but he wasn’t good by any means either. I see this as part of a larger epidemic of bad quarterback play across the NFL, where the numbers just haven’t been there and you’re looking at Trevor Siemian being a top-ten fantasy QB two weeks in a row. I’m hoping things change, but the quarterback position has been bad and Russell Wilson has been especially terrible.”

Are You Worried About Tyreek Hill’s Numbers Suffering Because Of Patrick Mahomes’ Struggles?

“Tyreek is going to get his. A receiver can get six catches for 90 yards and get you 15 fantasy points, and it doesn’t necessarily mean that his quarterback had a big game. You’d like to have a big game for the quarterback because that’s going to trickle down to his receivers but it doesn’t mean the receivers will have bad games if he struggles.”

As You Predicted Before The Season, Darrell Henderson, Jr. Has Fought Through Nagging Injuries All Year Long And He’s Nicked Up Again This Week. How Do You Manage That Situation?

“Yeah, he’s got some sort of thigh injury and I don’t think we’re going to know his status before the end of the week. The Rams have lost three in a row, so they need all hands on deck, but they’ve got the Jaguars this week. If Sean McVay decides he can beat the Jaguars without Darrell Henderson, then Sony Michel becomes a guy who you should pick up off the waiver wire just in case.

Name A Couple Of Players You Think Could Be Sneakily Good Plays This Week.

“Now that Deebo Samuel is likely out, Brandon Aiyuk suddenly becomes a really good asset. He’s been better the last four weeks, now he’s the number one receiver in San Francisco and he’s got the Seahawks defense, which is hit or miss. Kendrick Bourne as well, he’s had three top-ten fantasy performances since week three. He’s not the sexiest name in the world but he’s getting the job done.”
