Every week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.
Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (November 15th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.
Who are some quarterbacks you like in Week 11? “Big Ben’s playing on the road and typically he’s not great on the road…but he’s playing the Browns so I’m still starting him! I still like Derek Carr despite the matchup against Houston. Tyrod Taylor’s a good play this week and, of course Dak Prescott.”
Where are you on Larry Fitzgerald this week? “If he’s starting for the Cardinals, he’s starting for me. He’s 33 years old. He looks like he’s about 25 out there…he’s going into Minnesota this week. You remember he was a ball boy there for the Vikings so I certainly start him if he’s active.”
Flip it around, how about Kyle Rudolph against the Cardinals? “I wouldn’t play Kyle Rudolph if I had depth at tight end. He’s got a bad matchup. The Arizona Cardinals have been really tough on tight ends. Jimmy Graham, Greg Olsen, Martellus Bennett all did next-to-nothing against Arizona.”
What are your thoughts on Cam Meredith in Chicago? “You’ve got a wide receiver in Alshon Jeffery who’s leading the team in targets. He’s not having a great year. I think people were more excited about him once Jay Cutler came back but Cam’s the number one guy there and he needs to be owned in all fantasy leagues. I’m not telling you he’s a must-start but he’s at least a three-flex. In some leagues a starter, especially when you still have four teams on a bye.”
Who are a couple of running backs to stay away from this weekend? “Mark Ingram. Bad matchup against Carolina. Todd Gurley. Terrence West. Anybody in New York because the Jets are on a bye. Rashad Jennings, Paul Perkins you’re going to sit those guys, as well. Neither one of them is producing.”
How about at wide receiver? “DeAndre Hopkins. He’s been terrible. His numbers? It’s the Osweiler effect and it’s not good. When your quarterback throws for 99 yards you’re probably not going to put up good fantasy numbers. Jarvis Laundry has been bad this year. Jordan Matthews has a bad matchup in Seattle this week.”
