Each week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Fantasy Football Editor Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (July 8th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

Give us two breakout fantasy players for the upcoming season: “Breakout means they have the potential to be Top 10 at their position…I’m going with Gio Bernard who I absolutely love in Cincinnati and Montee Ball in Denver. Again, I’m sticking with the running backs because that’s the most important position for my money in fantasy football…I love Gio’s versatility. I think he can catch 40-50 passes out of the backfield give you somewhere around 1500 scrimmage yards. Montee Ball being the guy in Denver now, that’s huge…Montee Ball’s future is very bright statistically for the Broncos.”

How do you see the tight ends breaking down? “Well, it’s Jimmy Graham and everyone else until Rob Gronkowski proves that he’s healthy and can play in Week 1 and at that point you have to put him right there with Graham although Graham is probably worth a first-round pick late in a lot of leagues. No worse than a second-round pick where at this point and time Gronkowski is more of a four or five but if he’s healthy…he’ll move up a little bit. Then you’ve got Julius Thomas and Vernon Davis sort of in that second tier with Jason Witten. I really like Dennis Pitta this season…Kyle Rudolph as well in Norv Turner’s offense.”

What one position underachieved as whole last fantasy season? “The running back position kind of stunk last season. if we’re looking at it overall from a fantasy perspective. Alfred Morris was a disappointment. Maurice Jones-Drew wasn’t the same Maurice Jones-Drew. The Giants backfield was a mess. The Cardinals didn’t really have a true number one. Things happened at the running back position that was odd in 2013 and I think that’s going to change coming up in 2014. There’s a lot of good, young talent out there.”
