Every week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (March 16th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

Where does David Johnson fit in from a fantasy perspective working out of that Texans’ offense? “He has high RB2, low RB1 potential in that offense. Who’s catching passes from them? This is a guy who’s a great pass-catcher and they just traded Nuk [Hopkins]. So DJ is an RB2.”

With Johnson off to the Texans and Kenyan Drake likely back in the mix here in Arizona, where do you see Drake fitting in moving forward? “Drake could be an RB1. I mean, he was an RB3 after being traded last year to the desert so he’s a great fit for that offense.”

Some say Hopkins may be on the downside a bit of his career. How do you feel about that? “He’s not even 28! I think he turns 28 in June or something. He’s a young guy! Listen, I think this is a great fit. The Cardinals’ offense is fast under [Kliff] Kingsbury. He’s got a guy who can get him the ball deep in Kyler [Murray]. I think Nuk is going to be absolutely fine. I don’t see any sort of decrease in terms of his skill set.”

Where do you see him coming off draft boards this summer? “I don’t know if he’s a first round pick because the first round is going to be littered with wide receivers and running backs. Ya’ know, Michael Thomas – which is typical. [Hopkins] is certainly a second-round pick.”

Does the addition of Hopkins completely eliminate any chance of the Cardinals drafting a wide receiver with the eighth pick?  “Yes, they’re not going to go after a wide receiver in the first round. So, they can focus on other positions.”
