CJ Fite continues to make an impact for Arizona State football on and off the field.
He’s transitioned from the young guy in the defense to the seasoned vet. With so many players from last year’s leadership council graduating or moving to the next level, Kenny Dillingham simplified things for those looking for a leader on this year’s squad.
“I had CJ stand up,” Dillingham recalls. “I said, ‘He was on the leadership council. He’s been on it since he was a freshman. He could have gone pro. He’s still here. Listen to him.'”
Dillingham also described Fite as a “dream player” to coach, and the defensive tackle will have a big impact helping some of these newcomers get up to speed.
