Desert Mountain Outlasts Sunrise Mountain for 5A State Title

A storybook ending is how Desert Mountain Head Coach, Ryan Dyer, put it. Following a season-ending loss in nine innings to the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs, the two ended up on a collision course together, meeting once more at the  5A State Championship game.

The Wolves put up three runs in the fourth inning and the game was capped off by Arizona State signee, Wes Kath, hitting a solo home run in the sixth inning and pitching the final two outs of the ball game.

DMHS adds the 5A Championship title alongside their 2013 Division I Championship in their trophy case.
