Daniel Suarez and Roy Lopez Jr. Teach STEM at Phoenix Raceway

NASCAR’s only Mexican-born driver, Daniel Suarez, teamed up with valley native and former Arizona Cardinal, Roy Lopez Jr., to showcase STEM in the world of NASCAR at Phoenix Raceway.

The Avondale track welcomed 450 elementary students from across the valley to engage with hands-on educational activities spotlighting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.  The day was filled with creating balloon-powered cars, science games, racing simulators, crafts, and video games.

NASCAR Championship Weekend returns to Phoenix Raceway to crown four champions in the ARCA Menards West Series, Craftsman Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series over three days from October 31 to November 2. Get your tickets now at phoenixraceway.com.
