Eugenio Suarez is the new third baseman for the Diamondbacks.
Arizona completed a trade for the 32-year-old power hitter with Seattle on Wednesday. Pitcher Carlos Vargas and catcher Seby Zavala were dealt to the Mariners.
Suarez hit just .232 this past season, with 22 home runs and 96 runs batted in. He’s 32 years old and coming into the final year of his contract.
