Pac-12 Football Media Day was a reunion for Kenny Dillingham and his old quarterback and coaching friend. Dillingham recruited quarterback Bo Nix to Auburn and then met up with him again last year at Oregon, where the quarterback was one of the best in the conference.
Dillingham was on Oregon head coach Dan Lanning’s coaching staff as offensive coordinator for one year, but their connection runs much deeper than a one-year stint in Eugene. When Lanning was an offensive assistant at ASU, he was constantly visited by a young high school coach named Kenny Dillingham. They kept in touch and were both on Mike Norvell’s staff at Memphis.
Lanning’s path took him to Georgia. Dillingham’s went to Auburn and Florida State. But when Lanning was named head coach at Oregon, he was quick to Dillingham to run his offense.
The trio discussed their long-standing connection in the video above.
