Commitments, Offers And An Army Bowl Invite

Commitments

Cree Thomas – ’25 DB, Brophy College Prep

On Monday, Nov. 20, Brophy College Prep defensive back Cree Thomas announced his commitment to Notre Dame. The 6-foot0one, 180-pound cornerback had a dozen offers from programs including Arizona, ASU, Oregon and Wisconsin. Thomas says the game day atmosphere and coaching staff is what set the Fighting Irish above the rest.

“The atmosphere on my game day visits to Notre Dame was incredible. With the school having one of the most storied football programs, it would be almost a dream come true to be able to play for them every Saturday.”

“The Coaches were super amazing throughout the entire recruitment process and always upfront with me about the school. It’s also huge that Notre Dame is a faith based school and I can continue to get closer with God! And of course the most important thing being that a degree from Notre Dame is incredible after football.”

Thomas said he was looking for a program that would help him achieve his goal of making it to the NFL. Defensive backs coach Mike Mickens made an impact on his recruitment and he feels he’s one of the best cornerback coaches in college football. Cree feels he’s going from one of the best coaching staffs in Arizona high school football to one of the best in college. He says BCP coaches have set an example for him and his teammates as former collegiate and NFL players.

“A lot of our coaches also have college coaching experience which is huge when giving us pointers to better our game for the next level. We also learn a lot about time management in the classroom at Brophy which will be a huge help in college.”

Cree Thomas and the No. 1 Brophy Broncos are set to play No. 12 Red Mountain in the 6A Semi-Finals this Friday.

Lee committed to Iowa State on June 18 and plans to graduate early to attend spring ball.
