Charlie Ragle to Take Health-Related Leave of Absence

Arizona State associate head coach and special teams coordinator Charlie Ragle will take an immediate health-related leave of absence. The news was first reported by Chris Karpman of Sun Devil Source.

Ragle came to Tempe as a part of Kenny Dilligham’s initial 2023 staff and has multiple coaching ties to the Valley. He led Chaparral High School to three state championships in five years, where he also coached and coached with Dillingham. He then went to the University of Arizona under Rich Rodridguez and was an assistant coach at Cal. He was the head coach of Idaho State in 2022 before returning to Arizona to be on Dillingham’s staff.

Karpman reported an existing health issue had intensified from the stress of improving the Sun Devils’ special teams efforts, which had struggled in recent weeks.

Assistant special teams coodinator Jack Nudo will handle Ragle’s special teams duties in his absence.
