Philadelphia

“We didn’t come cross-country to get our ass kicked” – Torey Lovullo before Game 6

The fans chanted “let’s go Nola”, “let’s go Phillies”. None of it worked. Heck, they even put Rocky up on the big board. By the 7th inning you could hear boos and see fans heading to their cars to beat traffic. The Diamondbacks shut down the crowd and took apart Philadelphia pitching beating the Phillies 5-1 to even up the series at 3-games each.

Merrill Kelly was tremendous(5IP 8 K’s) and Arizona would get back to back homeruns(first time in postseason history) in the second from Tommy Pham and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to get the offense started.

We will have a Game 7 Tuesday night here in Philadelphia with the winner going to the World Series. Neither team will have their ace on the mound. The Diamondbacks will go with rookie Brandon Pfaadt, who was terrific in Game 4.
