The are many paths to get to Power 5 football, and Case Hatch’s may be one of the more interesting ones.
He served a LDS mission before heading to Tempe. Then-defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales said he’s never seen another player look better physically coming off of a mission. Hatch quickly earned the respect of his team and was eventually put on scholarship and named a captain. He’s started as a linebacker. He’s now a fullback. He’s always been a special teams standout.
If you can’t spot him on the field, look for the guy giving himself a couple of smacks on the helmet before a kickoff. He wants to be a “different kind of monster” on the field but is constantly in the community helping others with his wife. He can leave the game where it is when he steps off the field.
Now, Hatch’s path could lead him to the ring as he is a part of the second class of the WWE’s Next In Line program, which provides resources for college athletes to enhance their brand and potentially obtain a WWE contract.
He breaks all that down, and more, with Sports360AZ in Part 1 of our offseason sit-down.
