The Cardinals selected defensive end Cam Thomas from San Diego State with the 87th overall pick in the draft.

He’s listed at 6’4″ and 267 pounds. Last season he recorded 20 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. He was the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year in 2021.
Thomas is the first addition to the edge since the departure of Chandler Jones in free agency. He knows he’s going to have to fill those shoes in one way or another.
“I definitely want to go in there and just give everything I have every single day,” Johnson said. “I’m just going to give them everything I have.”
Like second round pick Trey McBride and fellow Mountain West Conference alum, he’s been training at Exos in Phoenix.
