Calais Campbell is back in Arizona where it all began. Very smart signing by the Cardinals to bring in someone who can lead, mentor, and be productive even if it’s not every down on the stat sheet. It’s one thing for pro sports teams to bring in a player to sell seats and gear, it’s another to bolster a roster with a quality performer like Campbell…
I am expecting to hear Patrick Peterson’s name floating around the Cardinals in the next week or two. PP would be a good choice to replace Wolf in the analyst chair…
Now that he’s retired from the Cardinal broadcast crew, the time to put Ron Wolfley into the Cardinals Ring of Honor is this upcoming season…
The NFL needs six more weeks to determine if the “tush push” should be in or out. There are many problems to solve in the world, but pushing a grown mans ass across the goal line shouldn’t take six weeks to figure out. I get it, save the “news” for a slow day in May vs the NBA Playoffs. It’s all about clicks and impressions rather than common sense…
Having NFL players compete in flag football for the the 2028 Olympics would be great for the sport. Downside, injuries in the games, no offseason for the players. Look at the Suns this year with Booker and Durant having a short offseason. Don’t try to convince me that they were one hundred percent fresh for the grind of a NBA regular season…
Hard to imagine the Suns are in am ascending position the next couple of years. Oklahoma City bottomed out and rebuilt in quick fashion. San Antonio went from the penthouse to the bottom floor and are just now starting to come up for air. I bring this up because the ideas that the Suns will go from fringe playoff sniffer to title contender a year from now isn’t realistic. Moving on from Durant and retooling around Booker to make another playoff run isn’t good enough in my book. NO ONE is untouchable…
Not big on having a sponsor in the upper right corner throughout entire Diamondback TV broadcasts…
Number One seeds on the men’s and women’s Final Four shouldn’t be chalked up just to NIL and who pays the most. UCLA, South Carolina, Texas and No. 2 seed Connecticut women in Tampa and the top seed Duke, Houston, Auburn and Florida should bring big numbers on the TV ratings and gambling cages. Buying a team doesn’t guarantee anything. Sure, it helps, but getting the “buy-in” and avoiding the unlucky breaks(USC losing Ju Ju Watkins) has to be part of the equation…
LPGA at Whirlwind was a rousing success. Job well done by all involved…
