Cactus dominated in every way in their 41-7 victory over long-time rival, Peoria, on Friday night. From the trickery of a 4th-and-20 Jordan Davis bomb to Nikko Boncore, four total TDs and an 84-yard score from sophomore QB Antonio Casias, or another standout defensive game from senior LB/OL Raymond Jones, everything went the Cobras way on Friday night.
CHS has now won 13 of the past 16 games in this rivalry that dates back to 1978 and advances to 3-2 on the season. Cactus begins 5A Desert West Region play next week at home against Canyon View plus a second straight home game against Verrado.
Peoria falls to 3-2 on the season and will play at home against next week against Youngker to kickoff 4A Skyline Region play.
