The Territorial Cup will be a reunion of sorts for Wildcats head coach Brent Brennan and Arizona State offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo.
The duo worked together from 2005-08 at San Jose State under Dick Tomey. The two young offensive coaches often spent time trying (and Brennan says failing) at scheming up new plays to add to the playbook last minute.
They’ve remained close on the field when competing against each other, and off the field as well. Brennan was a part of Arroyo’s wedding, and the two have supported each other in the ups and downs of the coaching world.
They describe their relationship in the video above.
