The 2025 Big 12 Media Day at the Star in Frisco, Texas has come and gone.
Arizona State players were a hot commodity among all media members. University of Arizona got less attention than last year, but many people walked away impressed by what is being rebuilt there. Both teams represented themselves extremely well.
For us as a company, this event is always a great way to expand our relationships with players, coaches, media relations departments, and other national media companies.
It was the first time that myself and Brad Cesmat got real face-to-face interaction with ASU quarterback and Heisman hopeful, Sam Leavitt. Leavitt may have been the most requested player at the event.

It was a chance for me to discuss faith with C.J. Fite and Jordyn Tyson at ASU, and Noah Fifita from Arizona.
It was a chance for Jordan Hamm to show why his college football storytelling is elite in every area. His ability to plan out feature stories throughout the event to air at a later date is unmatched.
It was a chance for us to try some new live streaming stuff.
Former state 48 prep stars are always at this event as leaders on their teams. Utah brought former Saguaro quarterback Devon Dampier. You can see why we have always talked so highly of him because of the way he carries himself. His energy was shining through his teammates (and vlog for the university). Oh and he’s also a great player, named the Big 12 preseason Newcomer of the Year.

Every mascot is in attendance. They are always goofing around, whether all media members like that or not (we do).
The commissioner gave updates on the business side of the conference. The rest may be PR talking points, but it’s still stuff that needs to be said.
Deion Sanders showed up just to do his press conference and a coaching roundtable. He made some fair points when asked what he would change in college football.
- Salary Cap
- End Tampering
- Make sure every player wears knee pads.
“We got guys out there in biker shorts,” Sanders said. “That makes me sick, because I’m a football guy. I played this game at a high level, and I have so much respect for this game. How can we allow guys out there in biker shorts? No kneepads, no nothing. Literally pants up under their thighs, and that’s cool. I think there should be a fine implemented for that stuff, and let’s have more respect for this tremendous game.”
We are inching closer and closer to the college football season. We’ll have lots of stories publishing from Big 12 Media Day and the upcoming fall camps.
