Jason Mohns and Devon Dampier accomplised a lot in their two seasons together at Saguaro High School.
The program’s only Open Division title came with Dampier under center in 2021, and the ‘Cats made it to the championship game again in 2022.
After that season, Mohns accepted the tight ends coach position at Arizona State. Dampier had two electric seasons as New Mexico’s quarterback and transferred to Utah this past offseason.
Now, these two former Sabercats with square off in a massive Big 12 showdown on Saturday.
While they can’t directly communicate due to NCAA rules, Coach and QB still remain close after all these years.
