ASU Running Back Cam Skattebo Selected By New York Giants in NFL Draft

ASU running back brings a distinct skill set and mentality to the field.

While with the Sun Devils, he accumulated 2,494 rushing yards, 30 pushing scores, 891 receiving yards with four receiving yards. He also tossed two touchdowns with one of them happening in the 2025 Peach Bowl. He was a running back, a wide receiver, ran in the “Wild-Skat” formation and oversaw the swinging gate formation in a UCLA win in 2023.

He’s had marquee moments over two years in Tempe. He’ll now look to add more moments like that with the New York Giants, who selected him with the 105th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“Skat” came to Tempe entering the 2024 season after a decorated career at Sacramento State. His former head coach, Troy Taylor, and new offensive coordinator, Beau Baldwin, had an interesting connection, especially after Skattebo transferred to Tempe.

Skattebo leaves Tempe as one of the most impactful players in the Kenny Dillingham era. Now, the Giants are hoping for that same impact in their backfield.
