ASU Football releases Uniform Combos and Themes for 2014 Home Games

Arizona Sports News online

If you have attended an Arizona State home game over the last couple of seasons, you know that the second most sought after news behind the game itself is what uniforms the Sun Devils will be wearing. Since totally rebranding their look back in 2011, ASU has, like many other teams around college football, created a multitude of uniform combinations for every game that they play.

On Tuesday morning, ASU Football announced their uniform combinations and themes for the 2014 home games.

The blackout game and maroon monsoon games have become a tradition at Sun Devils Stadium over the last couple of seasons. The blackout game of 2013 was one of the most memorable games from a year ago when ASU knocked off Wisconsin in what was a crazy finish. This year the blackout game will be the all important Pac-12 South matchup with UCLA. ASU knocked off UCLA in Pasadena last season to clinch the Pac-12 South Championship.

The themed games also include the Nov. 8 rematch with Notre Dame at Sun Devil Stadium will be the important Salute to Service game, which pays respect to the men and women who protect and serve our nation. The program announced that becoming a Sun Devil Football Season Ticket Holder is the only way to guarantee tickets to the much anticipated rematch with the Fighting Irish.

The program also announced that for the third consecutive season, fans and ASU students will have the opportunity to choose the team’s uniform combinations for the Nov. 1 game against Utah. Voting for both the fans and students will be conducted via the web and social media.

Speaking of social media, we want to hear from you. Click this link, and tell us on Facebook what your favorite home game theme and uniform combination is and what you are looking forward to the most.
