ASU Football gains a verbal from California lineman

With National Letter of Intent Day just three away, the scholarship count for ASU went down by one on Wednesday when they received a verbal commitment from Jack Powers. A 6’6 260 pound lineman from Salinas, California.

He played tight end during his senior season, but was primarily a defensive end. Powers believes he will play offensive tackle in college.

He said “yes” to ASU and “no” to Utah and Fresno State. Powers visited the Sun Devils last weekend. Arizona State offensive line coach Bob Connelly had an in-home visit on Tuesday and Powers committed today.
