Artificial Intelligence Behind Home Plate, Name and Likeness Double Dipping

I’ve reached the point where I would like to have artificial intelligence as the judge and jury of pro sports. Computer systems are supposed to be able to take over tasks that are performed by humans. Far be it from to decide who should become unemployed in their profession, but something has to change when it comes to the act of enforcing rules. I came to this conclusion after watching the strike zone the last couple of World Series games. Nothing is consistent when it comes to the human element. “The strike zone is the first area that is ripe for AI”, said my friend Drew, who works in the Artificial Intelligence industry. “AI is instantaneous, it could never do pass interference, etc. those are judgement calls, we’re a ways from that”. Let’s find out sooner than later…

So when a college football player is getting paid for his name and likeness for the first three seasons at a University  and he transfers to another school does he get paid again for his name and likeness? What happens to the money from his first school? Does it go into a 401K? Can a player double dip on colleges for name and likeness?

New Coyotes owner Alex Meruelo hasn’t had to deal with the four game losing streak. His hockey team deserves more butts in the seats…
