In what has already been a very strong 2020 offensive line class for Arizona, Valley Vista offensive lineman Andrew Rumary brings versatility and size.
He’s spent his offseason transforming how his size is distributed, going from 280 pounds to 295 but adding muscle in the process.
“I think my feet have gotten quicker, my power’s gotten better,” Rumary said. “I’ve been working my ass off in the weight room, losing bad weight, getting good weight back.”
He also has emphasized flexibility in the weightroom and on the field, saying it gives him an “edge” while blocking.
“It’s great to have (flexibility),” “Having good flexibility, I feel like it can help you build strength in the weightroom when you’re squatting, power cleans. It’s a lot better.”

Rumary currently has offers from Arizona, NAU, San Jose State, UNLV, New Mexico State, Iowa State, San Diego State and Colorado State. He’s said programs are recruiting him to play anywhere from offensive tackle to center.
Among those offers, a few programs that are jumping out include Arizona, Iowa State and UNLV.
Arizona was his first offer, and the Wildcats have positioned themselves nicely in Rumary’s recruitment.
“I really love everyone at U of A,” Rumary said. “The coaches are great. It’s really awesome knowing the coaches. I’ve been up there a few times. Every time I go up there, I build a better bond with them…It’s a great environment.”
The offensive lineman is now planning visits and working to continue to transform his body. He is planning an official to Iowa State in late June currently.
