Tanner McLachlan went from American Leadership Academy Queen Creek to Southern Utah and returned to the state to play for the Arizona Wildcats.

He is now NFL-bound.

The TE was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in 6th round with the 194th overall pick.

In two years with the Wildcats, he caught 79 passes, 928 yards and six touchdowns.

He came to Tucson as a walk-on and was able to beat out a few highly-rated recruits to become a mainstay in the potent Wildcat offense.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah was a big fan of McLachlan’s game, ranking him as his second tight end in this year’s draft class.

He joins offensive tackle Jordan Morgan as a fellow draft selection in this year’s field.
