Arizona head coach Brent Brennan’s reset of the football culture took another step forward last week by becoming bowl-eligible. Saturday, his team showed more grit by going to Cincinnati and taking down the 25th-ranked Bearcats 30-24. The Wildcats’ offense rolled up 475 yards, including 181 on the ground. Zero turnovers and just three penalties demonstrated how close to a clean game the visitors played.
Quarterback Noah Fifita broke the Arizona school record in touchdown passes, throwing his 68th career touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Fifita breaks the record previously held by Willie Tuitama and Nick Foles.
With the win, Arizona improves to 7-3. Next week, the Wildcats host Baylor.
