The Arizona Kachinas hockey program continues to see growth in their six years of existence. It’s created opportunities to expand girls hockey in Arizona and and Rocky Mountain Region no matter the skillset.
President Lyndsey Fry said the organization is up to 18 teams this season and player ages span from five years old to 19.
Their 16U Tier 1 team made a major statement in making nationals, which take place in Boston the first week in April.
It’s a significant step as the program continues to bolster itself, and nationals provides an opportunity to get in front of college scouts. The Kachinas are looking to raise $20,000 to help offset the costs for families to jump into this experience.
If you would like to donate to the Kachinas, you can do so here.
Fry explains the importance of this program and the experience as a whole in the video above.
