The Baltimore Ravens drafted former Arizona kicker Tyler Loop in the 6th round on Saturday.
Loop was a staple for the Wildcats, showing out in Tucson from 2020-2024, becoming one of the best kickers in the country by his senior year.
Last season he made 18-of-23 field goal attempts, good for 78%. That same year against Texas Tech, he made a career-high five field goals in one game.
He was a Lou Groza award semifinalist and was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in his final season as a Wildcat.
“The most powerful leg I’ve been around.”
Arizona DC Danny Gonzales (@CoachGonz), who served as the team’s special teams coordinator last year, was asked about Tyler Loop (@tyler_loop) last weekend.
He gave very high praise to the player and person the Ravens just drafted: pic.twitter.com/FmIjmepMJ5
