Arizona Football announced it 2025 schedule:

8/30 – Hawaii
9/6 – Weber State
9/13 – Kansas State
9/20 – BYE
9/27 – @ Iowa State
10/4 – Oklahoma State
10/11 – BYU
10/18 – @ Houston
10/25 – BYE
11/1 – @ Colorado
11/8 – Kansas
11/15 – @ Cincinnati
11/22 – Baylor
11/28 – @ ASU (FRI)

Some takeaways:

  • A reminder that the Kansas State game is considered non-conference. The ‘Cats and ‘Cats scheduled this before Arizona made the move to the Big 12. Last year, Kansas State took care of business and won this match-up 31-7. Both Gunner Maldonado and Tre Spivey will see their former teams in this one as well. Maldonado was in Tucson and now with Kansas State. Spivey returned home to Arizona from Manhattan this offseason.

  • Arizona does not leave Tucson until September 27th. All three of their non-conference games are at home and then they hit the bye early before going on the road to Iowa State.

  • Because of that early home stretch, the ‘Cats are on the road for four of their final six games. There is a bye mixed in there as well, but they’ll head to Houston, Colorado, Cincinnati and Arizona State in that stretch.

  • Arizona will also catch Arizona State, Iowa State, Colorado and BYU. Those are also known as the four horsemen of the Big 12, the top four records in last year’s slate. While that’s a tough slate, ASU’s 2024 slate had five teams in the top 25 – the most in the conference – and came away just fine.

  • Arizona will catch Iowa State and Colorado coming out of their bye weeks. Last year, the ‘Cats’ two Big 12 wins (Utah & Houston) after their bye weeks. Could mean nothing this year, could be a trend. Who knows?
