The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop kickoff luncheon marked the bowl’s tenth year of existence. While it’s had many titles and been broadcasted in different spots, the bowl has continued to do things a little differently on the field and in the community.
It embraced streaming the game long before that was the popular thing to do. It was the first bowl game to tie in NIL compensation for players. Snoop Dogg’s partnership has brought tons of attention and unique opportunities to work with organizations he is passionate about.
Perhaps most importantly, it takes all of its net proceeds and puts it back into the Southern Arizona community.
And Thursday’s kickoff luncheon was no different.
Many community members were honored throughout the afternoon, and the organization was able to look back and look forward to see how the bowl could grow from here. Chicago Bears legend Brian Urlacher was the honored guest, which meant he was in the literal hot seat. He was answering questions from executive director Kym Adair while they took bites of mini chimichangas dipped in hot salsas.
And while the game is just two months away, the bowl continues to embrace creativity with how they host the game and the work they do in the community.
