Niumatalolo Would Be a GREAT Hire for Wildcats…

Arizona Sports News online

Ken Niumatalolo would be a terrific hire for the University of Arizona on several fronts. The football program needs to push the reset button after the black eye the school took from the Rich Rod scandal off-the field scandal. The University has been rocked by the bribery and corruption scandal in the basketball program.
Last November, former Wildcat running back Orlando Bradford was sentenced to five years for domestic violence. Bradford played under Rodriguez.
Former assistant track coach Craig Carter had a multiple-year affair with a student and is accused of choking her and threatening her with a box cutter.
Carter faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His trial is scheduled for March.
Niumatalolo is recruiting at Navy this weekend, so the waiting game continues. 2018 Heisman Trophy candidate Khalil Tate tweeted on Friday that he didn’t come to Arizona to run the triple-option. Tate would later take the tweet down, but the word was already out.
This would be a very strong hire for Arizona and should make Arizona State fans nervous…

Congrats to two community icons who have been elected as the National Football Foundation Distinguished Arizonans Award. Nap Lawerence and Eddie Sandridge(Fast Eddie) will be receiving the prestigious honor at the NFF’s 37th annual scholarship banquet on March 24th. I am the MC of this event and will make sure to roast the two accordingly…

January 14th and J.D. Martinez is still unsigned, Zack Greinke is still a Diamondback, as is Yasmany Tomas. Going to be a busy few weeks before pitchers and catchers report. I’d love to see Manny Machado end up here, with Greinke and Tomas elsewhere. I thought by now Martinez would sign with Boston, but he’s still out hanging out. Could things possibly be changing behind the scenes to bring him back? Stay tuned…
