Tucson’s Alex Bowman and Glendale’s Michael McDowell have honorably carried the Arizona banner in the world of NASCAR career. Bowman’s multiple NASCAR Cup Series victories and McDowell’s Daytona 500 championship have cemented state 48 in NASCAR history. Even though the two took drastically different paths into the NASCAR Cup Series, they’ve shared a similar story climbing the stock car ranks.
We dip a bit into the goofy side of both of these elite stock car racers to determine their favorite things in Arizona, favorite stories, and their favorite (and least favorite) parts about each other.
